The immediate future of St Kilda's Nathan Freeman is up in the air with reports suggesting that the former number ten draft pick won't feature in the St Kilda senior team for the rest of the season.
St Kilda coach Alan Richardson has stated that Freeman won't play for the Saints this season as he continues to "bullet-proof" his body ahead of the 2017 season.
“I just want him to be ready to go by the end of the year for next year,” Alan Richardson said.
“So no (he won’t play for St Kilda in 2016), because this year was all about bullet proofing his body so he can have a long and successful career for us.
“He’s had a few hiccups which we expected so we will be really conservative with Nathan. He has some tremendous attributes and that’s why we got him.”
Freeman will miss spend the next two weeks in rehab after another minor hamstring injury.
