Carlisle accepts AFL first strike

High-profile St Kilda recruit Jake Carlisle will miss the first two games next season and will record a strike under the AFL's illicit drugs policy.

He will also forfeit a club marketing contract worth $50,000 next year and has agreed to substantial changes to his contract.

The penalties were imposed after a video emerged of the former Essendon defender snorting an unidentified white powder.

News of the video came only hours after his trade to St Kilda was confirmed.
