LEIGH MONTAGNA'S 2015 SEASON

Games: 17
Goals: 8

Average Disposals: 28.6
Average Marks: 5.0
Average Tackles: 4.8

After suffering an injury in round one, Joey missed four games and returned to play in the Saints' 55-point comeback against the Bulldogs in round six. He failed to miss a game for the remainder of the season.

Along with Armo and Steven he was one of the best midfielders for the Saints this season, averaging an impressive 75 per cent efficiency per outing. He also proved to be a reliable option for our forwards, providing 5 inside-50s on average.

2015 Highlight?: Match-winning goal against Melbourne with less than 20 seconds on the clock.

2016 Prediction?: Though evident in 2015, we hope to see Montagna take on a stronger mentoring role for the up-and-coming midfielders next season. Much like Schneider with Lonie, we believe Joey has the leadership and experience to guide the future of St Kilda's midfield.

Dunstan, Billings, Freeman, Acres and co. are in more than capable hands.
