Carlisle arrives at St Kilda

  • Carlisle arrives at St Kilda

St Kilda has finally acquired the services of Essendon defender/forward Jake Carlisle after progressive and extensive discussions over the last week.

Thanks to the Sydney Swans, the Bombers and Saints were happy to get a deal done that would see the big Essendon defender reach his preferred destination of St Kilda.

In the other big news, pick five, which St Kilda said was categorically not on the table, has been handed to the Bombers for Carlisle.

The Sydney Swans will pass on their pick 14 to St Kilda, allowing the Saints to still have a first round pick in this year's draft. Sydney will gain pick 23 & 44 (from Essendon). The Bombers have also gained pick 24 from the Saints.

Sydney midfielder Craig Bird will also arrive at the Bombers as a part of the deal.
